Vitalize Your Body with this detoxifying Vitality Salad.
Spring is around the corner and it is time to work towards “Spring Cleaning” your body. If you are ready to feel more energized and vitalized then the, “Detox Vitality Salad” is the right meal for you. It’s a breeze to prepare and you can make it in bulk for leftovers during the week. I am a huge fan of the cilantro and parsley pesto. Did you know that parsley contains an oil called myristicin, which has been shown to inhibit tumor formation in the lungs? This recipe calls for a food processor, which is one of my top 5 staple kitchen items to use regularly. You can use a blender if a food processor is on your current wish list. Okay, enough chit-chat “The Vitality Detox Salad” awaits you! Are you ready? Let’s get chopping!!
Vitality Detox Salad
- 1 cucumber diced
- 1 zucchini diced
- 1/4 cup onion
- 1 tomato diced
- 1/2 juice lemon
- 1 tsp amino acids
- lemon pepper (to taste)
- Italian seasonings (to taste)
Combine all ingredients and eat fresh or refrigerate for the next day.
Vitality Pesto Sauce
Extra greens = extra lean! This pesto is low fat and high flavor.
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro
- 1 bunch fresh parsley
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon coconut amines
1/2 teaspoon of the following:
- Sea Salt
- black pepper
- lemon juice
Gradually add all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Add the dressing onto the Vitality Salad, use for marinades, or dipping sauces. Enjoy!
